A long time ago, AJHQ decided that they would release a new animal: the chicken. It was supposed to be a nonmember flying animal- the only one.
So, they created tons of chickens, and were about to send them off to Jamaa. The chickens squawked happily as they got onto the boat that would take them there.
But then, at the last minute, they decided "Nah, Non-members don't need flying animals".
Unfortunately, the chickens were already almost there, so AJHQ couldn't just delete them all.
Instead, they redirected the ship. Instead of sailing straight to Jamaa township like all the other animals, it went up a hidden river into the forest below Appondale.
The next day, they released chicken hats.
