It was time for an update to AJ! The developers had just the right idea. They knew how people liked to battle each other, so they decided to add a battle feature into the game: Bows now actually shot. By pressing the special button with a bow equipped, members (this feature was members-only) could shoot an arrow. They didn't actually do anything, they just were shot.

But then something happened that AJHQ didn't plan on: A corrupted bot editor made one irreversible edit on the game's code. Now, if a Jammer was shot, they would die. Blood spattered the screen and an agonized cry was played. Every two minutes, the death cries, blood, and images of all the animals a given Jammer had shot would appear on that Jammer's screen. Worse, trying to log off would cause animals used by AJHQ to immediately appear by that player, desiccated and bloody. They would then shoot the player, who would see pictures of all the animals their murderers had killed.

At the time of its death, a message would appear:

YOU WANTED A BOW SO BADLY. YOU SCAMMED, BEGGED, AND SCREAMED FOR IT. NOW YOU HAVE IT. WAS THIS WHAT YOU WANTED?

They would be given a bow in the same fashion as the Jamaaliday gifts, except that "Discard" was not there. The dead animal would wander Jamaa as an un-killable, bloody husk, shooting automatically when a Jammer wandered into range.
