Summary[]

Twinkle and her friends prank the Alphas after a particularly loud Alpha Meeting that turned into a terrible fight.

Plans[]

"DISMISSED!" Boomed Sir Gilbert, and the Alphas, Apprentices, and the small group of friends poured out of the room. This wasn't the first time a simple, quiet meeting turned into a loud, heated argument. They always start with Greely and Gilbert shooting each other dirty looks, then Liza tells them to stop, then Hudson jumps in and makes a joke, Graham throws a banana peel at him, Hudson gets mad, Valentina hits him on the head, then Cornelius gets involved and starts throwing things, so Cosmo jumps in and makes the large potted plants that were mounted on the wall grab the crocodile and string him up against the wall, then more arguing follows, so the youngest apprentices, Twinkle, Mimi, Olive, Sparkle, and Lizzy, along with Peck caught in the middle of it. Alpha meetings are never peaceful. And Twinkle, Peck, Mimi, Sparkle, Olive, and Lizzy are sick and tired of it. So, that day, they decided it was time for a little payback for making them sit through all that nonsense during meetings. Before they began their pranks, they set up a private meeting of their own.

"I dunno 'bout you guys, but I am SICK of all this nonsense!" Sparkle began, banging her paws on the table. "Yeah, all this arguing-y stuff and whatnot is GETT-ING-ON-MAH-NURRRVES." Mimi agreed. Twinkle and Peck were currently drawing plans in a notebook while Lizzy wrote in her journal. Mimi and Sparkle were currently discussing different prank ideas while Olive listened. Twinkle finally spoke up. "Alright. I HAVE AN IDEA!" She announced. And Sparkle held a miniature spot-bright above her adoptive-cousin's head. The group then began discussing the plans, and eventually, they marched off towards their first victim.

Greely.

Greely[]

Greely padded down the stairs to his chamber in the Alpha Tower. He needed to gather his supplies so he could continue his phantology studies in the phantom tunnels. The more he knew about the enemy, the better. He would be able to manipulate them to fall right into his trap. Then Jamaa could be rid of the vile pests, and he could possibly regain the trust of his fellow Alphas. But the slightest sound alerted the blue-gray wolf to the possible presence of another animal...or something else. Turning around, momentarily forgetting what he was doing, Greely looked around. There was nobody there. Or so he thought.

Zap. Crackle crackle. Zzziip. Zip zap zackle.

The crackling noises alone told Greely that he was not in the presence of a Jammer. He was among phantoms. And judging from the louder-than-average buzzing noises, they were large ones. Backing away slightly, the wolf sniffed the air. "Definitely phantoms." He thought, taking another step back. Grasping his deep blue Alpha Stone in his paw, Greely got into a fighting stance. There was no escape. The shadows of the approaching enemies were briefly displayed, before all the torches that were mounted on the walls burned out simultaneously. The fur on his back stood up straight as the phantoms approached.

Zurzap buzzrip zZzZip crackle zoop. Zazzip.

The buzzing sounds grew louder. Greely prepared himself and readied for the attack. But it never came.

BANG!

Greely felt an intense pain in his right shoulder. He felt the sensation of liquid dripping down it. Blood? Yes, it had to be. Dropping onto his side in shock before getting back up and running at what he thought was the enemy, he was hit again.

BANG!

He was done for. Dragging himself down the stairs in the darkness, Greely could only imagine how gruesome his wounds were. As he dropped to the ground, he expected to hear the buzzing sounds of the phantoms. But...all he heard was the giggling of children. The torches on the walls began to burn again, and returned the light to the corridor. But all Greely saw was a gooey green sludge running down his face. Paint. Wiping the paint off his face with a paw with a growl, the wolf glared. If looks could kill, the group of young animals would have been long gone. But right now, they already knew they were as good as dead if they stuck around. So the children fled the scene, dropping the paintball gun on the floor before Greely. Only one voice was heard afterwards as Greely got up and stormed off to retrieve his notebook and potions.

"@#$! KIDS!"

Second Meeting[]

Peck, Olive, Twinkle, Lizzy, Mimi, and Sparkle poured into the room they had claimed as their own with suppressed snickers and giggles. Once they were sure nobody was listening, they slammed the door and locked it, before bursting into fits of laughter. Peck was literally rolling around on the floor. But the loudest of them all was Olive, which was a surprise, because normally, she didn't talk much and just focused on her running.

"OH THAT WAS GOOD!" Twinkle panted, banging her paws on the table as she laughed. "And using a paintball gun? GENIUS!" She added, looking to Peck and Mimi. "You're the real mastermind here, Twink! Using your magic glove to mimic phantom noises and relight the torches at the end was a fantastic idea!" Lizzy piped up, adjusting her glasses. Twinkle and Lizzy jumped up and gave each other a high-paw.

Once the group had finally settled down, they each grabbed a chair or a pillow and gathered around the cheerily painted yellow and pink table. "Alright, Paint Ball Gun Prank, SUCCESS." Mimi began, grabbing a paint brush and painting a bright green check in the corner of the paper the children had written and drawn their plans on. "So, who should we prank next?" Olive asked, her ears perking up. Sparkle jumped up and down with a big grin on her face. "I DO I DO I DO I DO!!!!" She shouted. "Let's prank Cosmo! I have lotsa ideas!" She said, and the group once again got to work as Sparkle shared her plans.

Cosmo[]

Cosmo was currently watering the potted plants he had by his den. Putting the watering can down for a second as he leaned his staff against the side of his house, he heard the sound of something being dragged. Spinning around, all he saw was that the potted plant he was watering had moved a couple feet from its original spot. Or did it? "My mind must be playing tricks on me." The koala thought. He grasped the watering can again and turned to water his plant some more. But he ended up pouring the water on the ground as the plant moved yet again, this time several feet from the house. Cosmo sighed and walked after it. The plant then began moving quickly away from him, as if it was running. The koala began chasing the plant all around his yard and garden in circles.

Meanwhile, at the other end of the string, the rabbit, wolf pup, and tiger cub ran as fast as they could, the bunny dragging the long string behind her, before they finally met up with Olive at a large rock. She was the fastest out of all of them, even though she could only keep up her high speed for a short amount of time. Twinkle, Lizzy, and Peck heard footsteps foreign to their own not far behind, so they quickly passed the string to Olive, who sped off immediately, dragging the plant behind her. Diving into the bushes as the koala Alpha ran by, the group watched as their cheetah friend sped around.

Eventually, Cosmo lost sight of the speeding plant, and so he decided to return home. And, right in front of his house, there he found the plant he had been chasing. It was right in its original spot, as if it had never moved at all. Cosmo sighed and grabbed the watering can to finish watering the plant. Only to have it inch away again. Throwing the watering can to the ground in frustration and spilling water everywhere, the koala went inside his den and slammed the door. Sparkle and Mimi, who had been watching from the boomseed tree by the koala's den, could just hear Cosmo grumble.

"Lousy kids."

And The Pranksters Meet Again![]

The group of children met in Sarepia Forest, gathering around a large rock. Olive was currently resting on one of the extremely large mushrooms found only in Jamaa; running that fast took a lot out of her. Peck and Mimi were currently giggling their heads off. Twinkle sighed. "The pranks were really really funny, but do we really need to be doing this? I mean, it's fun, and I love to do things with my friends, but...isn't this kinda bad? What if the Alphas disown us? We'll be homeless." Thought the pup as she sketched in her notebook, her drawings slightly sloppy. The rest of the group finally settled down after a while, right when she finished her drawing of her favorite toy, Oliver. The pup sat alone at an old log, too absorbed in her drawings to notice. Her train of thought was interrupted by a furry pink blob.

"Hey, helllooooooooooo!!!" Peck exclaimed, jumping in front of Twinkle, causing her canine friend to drop the sketchbook on the damp forest floor. "It's time to talk 'bout plans for our next prank, Twink!" Sparkle piped up, jumping up and down. "Right!" Twinkle said, gathering the random papers that had fallen out of her book and making her way to the large boulder set in a small clearing. Olive had woken up from her nap and was waiting there. "So, I'm thinkin' we play a trick on Liza next." Lizzy began. "I heard from Hudson that she was gonna be mixing some potions later!" She continued, grinning. "What do you think we should do, Twinkle?" Olive asked. "Oh! Um...Switch the ingredients so the potion acts funny and does silly things?" The pup suggested, before returning to her sketches. "Yeah!" The other children chorused, before they ran off to Liza's house in Jamaa Township, Lizzy dragging Twinkle behind her.

Liza[]

The panda gleefully danced around inside her house, grabbing ingredients off every shelf she passed and setting it on a table in one of the rooms. She we getting ready to prepare some potions. Normally Cosmo or sometimes even Greely or Graham would be making potions, but this time, the chore was all hers. It was one of her favorite things to do, second only to guiding jammers around Jamaa and sharing legends and stories. Liza grabbed the empty potion cauldron and poured water into it, before beginning to add the ingredients. Right when the panda was about to grab a container filled with red dust labeled "Red Dust Number 3", she suddenly remembered something. Dashing out of the room to retrieve the missing ingredient, Liza left the potion reagents she had already gathered unattended on the table.

Slinking out of the wardrobe, Twinkle and Hudson padded over to the table. Peck came out from hiding under a desk. "Alright, I think the next thing she was gonna grab was this stuff." Peck whispered, gesturing towards the container with the red dust inside. Twinkle cautiously swiped the container and emptied it out, then filled it up again with chili powder. "No, no, no, Twinkle! Why are you doing this? This isn't good behavior, you know." One side of the pup's mind argued, clearly against her actions. The other side of her mind growled back. "It's funny, leave her alone!" Twinkle decided to side with the latter, and continued switching the ingredients for the potion. Hudson and Peck giggled, imagining the results of the potion when you used the wrong ingredients. Suddenly, they heard footsteps. The trio darted for cover inside of or behind the furniture in the room.

Liza returned to her potions carrying a bundle of strange blue and yellow leaves. Remembering what she was originally going to do, she grabbed the container labeled "Red Dust Number 3", however, the container no longer held inside what the label read. Delicately pouring the chili powder into the potion, assuming it was the right ingredient, Liza began to stir. Suddenly, the potion began fizzing and bubbling.

Fizz! Crackle! Pop!

Liza gasped. Well, it was her first time following this particular recipe, maybe it was supposed to happen. Calming herself, the panda grabbed the next ingredient, a bright red fruit with purple swirls. Slicing it with the magic of her staff, she dropped the pieces of fruit into the potion.

Crackle pop! Fizzzzz!

She turned around and searched the table for the small sweet peppers she needed for the potion. What she didn't know, however, was that they were replaced with hot peppers. Finally locating the peppers and putting them into the potion, Liza grabbed the large wooden spoon and began to stir.

CRACKLE CRACKLE! FIZZ! POP!

Frantically checking her recipe book, she read to see if the potion was supposed to be making these noises. But before she could, the potion boiled over and began splattering around the room. All over the walls, floor, furniture, even the ceiling! Shielding herself from the liquid with her magic, the panda heard the slightest giggle coming from Twinkle, Hudson, and Peck's hiding spot, before watching the trio dart out of the room and out of the building. Liza sighed and began to clean up the potion mess.

Twinkle, Peck, and Hudson could just heard the panda whisper to herself as they left.

"Children, why?"
