WARNING! THERE IS BLOOD IN THE LATER CHAPTERS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED![]

Intro[]

Once upon a time, there was a land not to far away from the peaceful land of Jamaa. Not many animals in Jamaa knew about the land and its magnificent kingdom, because nobody dared travel away from the happy area of Jamaa. Before the Phantoms became a trouble for Jamaa and the Alphas were born, Jamaa was ruled by King Zios and Queen Mira. However, in the other kingdom, the kingdom was ruled by Queen Fern. The old King, King Thistle, died in battle. Queen Fern refused to marry again, leaving the kingdom without a King, though nobody really seemed to care. Queen Fern and King Thistle had 2 children, both females. The oldest was named Princess Emerald, while the youngest was named Princess Jade. Princess Emerald was often distant, but the staff in the kingdom respected her wisdom. Princess Jade, however, was the life of the party. She socialized with everybody, rich or poor. There was always a smile on her face, and the people adored her characteristics.

The kingdom was very different than Jamaa. It was named The Kingdom of Enchantria, instead of just Enchantria. Jamaa had no castles, except for King Zios and Queen Mira's small castle that layed in the tallest tree in Sarepia, but Enchantria had one huge palace, guarded with tall walls and a village called NymphCreek right by it. The villages in Enchantria were more spread out, unlike Jamaa. Queen Fern's palace was grander than King Zios and Queen Mira's palace. It had more rooms and floors, and a huge throne room.

Nobody knew, but Princess Emerald wanted the crown, and grew impatient with waiting for the throne. Princess Jade grew more and more popular, and some of the villagers and staff started to think that Princess Jade would be a better Queen than Princess Emerald. Which of course, made Princess Emerald furious...

Prolouge[]

The guards posted by Queen Fern's bedroom coughed and gagged as a silvery vapor rose up from a small round ball that had landed by their paws. They collasped to the ground, crashing noises filling the hallway as their metal armor and spears clanged against each other. A teenage girl stepped into the hallway and stepped over the guard's bodies. She slowly opened the door to Queen Fern's bedroom. She gently closed the door behind her and approached the bed. She slid into the Queen's closet, pushing past the rows of grand dresses and clothes the Queen had. She went to the very back and pushed aside the clothes that were on the right. Hidden behind the clothes, a long black case layed gently on the hidden shelf. She opened the case, revealing the Queen's sword for battle layed on a layer of cushion. The hilt of the sword was studded with rubies, and the blade gleamed, sharper than most swords. She gently lifted the hilt of the sword, not even flinching from the slight weight of it.

She returned to the bedside, watching the Queen's chest rise and fall. She raised the sword, then stabbed it down, aimed at the Queen's heart. The Queen gave a last twitch before going still. She stepped back, taking off her silk gloves. She turned and tossed the gloves into the fire, watching as the flames devoured the silk material. She glanced back at the Queen before muttering, "I'm sorry, Mother. But it's my turn to rule this kingdom." She slipped out of the room, the Guards still fast asleep. She disappeared around the corner of the hallway again, listening for when the Guards woke up. Then the little scene would play out. As she heard the Guards wake up, she made herself cry. She had been practicing this moment for months now, starving for when the day would come. The day she would become Queen of Enchantria. As the tears flowed down her cheeks, she turned the corner and entered the hallway. The Guards looked at her, on high alert, but they relaxed as they saw that it was just the princess.

"What's wrong, Princess Emerald?" The first Guard asked. "I-I had a nightmare.." She murmurred. "Do you want to see your Mother?" The other Guard asked. She nodded and the Guards returned to their positions, staring at the wall. They were ordered to not look into the Queen's Room unless they saw somebody coming. She opened the doors, gasping as the doors opened. She turned to the Guards, who looked at her in the eyes as she said,

"Tell the Royal Family, Court, and Guards that the Queen of Enchantria is dead."

Chapter 1 ~ The Forest[]

Emerald woke up to the sound of rain pounding on the ground below her.

Her eyes fluttered open, blinking as a droplet smacked her on the snout. She sat up, leaning her back against the tree. She pulled her hood over her head, covering her ears and face, as well as shielding her from the rain. She leaped down from the branch, pulling her leather jacket tighter around herself. She padded through the forest, not even weighed down from the sword on her back. She kept going at a steady pace, clearly in no rush to get out of the forest. The things in her coat pockets jingled and jangled, trying to match the beat of the rain. Emerald was slightly annoyed that the rain was so loud, but she ignored it. The ground squished underneath her paws as she walked, slowly becoming muddy thanks to the rain. The rain bounced off her jacket, but soaking her unprotected tail. She ignored the vibrations that shook her thanks to her soaked, freezing tail. She kept going, her pace and breath steady as always. Emerald stopped as a low snarl filled the forest around her, momentarily overpowering the sound of the rain.

Emerald drew her sword and spun around just as a large, muscular coyote padded out. He had a trident, and dried blood stained the tips of the trident. "Hmph, what do we have here." He said, his eyes sparkling hungrily. Emerald smiled under her hood, but he couldn't see her crazy grin. "Oh, nothing much." She said, running a list of all the ways she could easily kill this twit. "You don't look like nothing," He purred, taking a few steps closer, a few feet infront of her now. Emerald mouth twitched into a smirk, "Ah, perfect. A creepo trying to rob me. Come at me, fox face." She taunted, gripping her sword tightly in her jaws. The coyote slithered forward with alarming speed for his size, and thrusted the trident out towards her neck. Emerald ducked and swiped her paw at his feet, knocking him off balance. He fell, mud splattering both of them. She knocked the trident out of his jaws forcefully, throwing it to her left. It slid across the wet earth, about 10 feet now away from them.

She pinned him down by his neck, her sharp claws poking his soft skin. She laughed now through her sword as she raised it, stabbing it down into his chest. He flinched, his eyes glazing over. She got off him, still grinning crazily. She pulled the sword out of his chest, warm blood dripping off the tip of the blade and onto the ground. She sheathed her sword onto her back after the rain had cleaned most of the blood off. She raided his pockets, stuffing gems and other things into her coat pocket. She turned away from the body and continued through the woods. This time though, she kept hearing random twigs breaking or the squishing of the ground somewhere near her, but she couldn't tell where it was coming from. Regardless, she kept going. She knew the next town was after this forest, and then the kingdom.. oh, how she had missed the kingdom. She imagined the kingdom finally under her rule. She should've gotten the throne long ago...

She stopped just as a arrow whizzed infront of her, just missing her.

"Come out, come out."

Emerald called out calmly into the woods, drawing her sword. "I know you saw me slay that other fool."
